Using Multiple Intelligence in the Classroom

Multiple Intelligence is a creative way to look at how each of us as individuals learn and also shows us understanding for others learning needs. I enjoyed taking the Multiple Intelligence evaluation to determine the areas of learning that i am best at and places that need improvement. This survey tool is a great idea to have students take not only to understand themselves where their learning is strongest and weakest. It also allows the teacher to gain critical information on the best way to present information to each individual student in different ways. The way that this idea of different learning types shows the areas of interest and influence can have a great influence on your classroom if the time is taken to structure the class lessons to hit the divers learning types. On another note I used Google doc to create a data chart on a group of people who have taken the Multiple Intelligence quiz. This doc was a catastrophe in the making with the multiple users accessing and making changes all at the same time. This doc would theoretically work better if people entered information on their own time and were careful not to undo work done by others. In the end I was not impressed with this application.

Beginner

This is my first blog slash post ever attempted and to say that it was a nerve raking intense moment is putting it mildly. I have never been one to write about daily things or even a topic I may feel strongly about, but their is a nice side to being able to voice your opinion through the use of typed words. This blogger has hopes of using this tool to create a portal for teachers to share and vent their do and don't  of the teaching profession along with the hope of brain storming ideas for the innovative classroom. The creating of this page was quick and painless enough, yet the adding of bloggers and trying to follow others blogs is the hard part of this endeavor. Hope is that this page grows in flash and content though out this blogging endeavor.
